The North London Photographic Society was formed in 2014 and currently has four founder members. We all bring differing experiences and creative styles to the group and although we are based in North London our photography encompasses a wide variety of locations. Nic Gotch

After working with moving image in my broadcast TV career and also making short documentary films, I have returned to my first love - the still image. My usual camera is a Fuji x100s and I tend to avoid editing software where possible. I have a B.A. in English and Visual Studies and studied for an M.A in Film Production.

I exhibit as part of the Crouch End Open Studios and Brighton and Hove Artist Trail. I have included a selection of external images where natural light has had a strong influence on the scene.

Henrietta Cooke

To me, one of the things that is special about photography is its interdependence with technology. Having spent the last few years dabbling in the digital world, I am currently rediscovering the slower and more considered world of black and white film and the dark room. I enjoy the rigour that film instills in the framing and taking of shots, but equally enjoy the excitement and potential of manipulating images during the printing process.

I will be showing at the Salon 15 having won a place in their prestigious exhibition (see Events page) and in the meantime, include here are range of shots taken on a range of cameras.

Sid Caudri

Born and raised in North London, I've always loved taking pictures and seeing the pleasure that it can bring to those I've photographed. As my photography has evolved I prefer to have people in my compositions since I like the extra challenges it brings, however my portfolio encompasses a wide range of genres including landscape, architectural, still life, sports, portrait, children, wild life, events, and street photography. I achieved a double distinction in my City & Guilds Level 3 National Diploma in Photojournalism in 2014.

I now spend my time between living in London and a small village in Tuscany, Italy - both of which are photogenic places but in very different ways, and for my first exhibition I have chosen a series of images shot from my time in Italy.

Peter Elwell

A lifetime fascination with art in many media, from watercolours to pastels, has brought me in recent years to photography. My work has featured my old home in Spitalfields and diverse subjects, from racing cars to elements of Muswell Hill and its surroundings.
